Youth soccer camp slated

Star Staff

The British are coming. The British are coming. And don’t forget the Brazilian.

OK, it’s not an invasion, just soccer coaches coming from afar to conduct a camp from July 31 to Aug. 4 in Miles City.

It’s actually three camps in one — British Soccer (recommended for ages 3-11), TetraBrazil (ages 12-19) and First Kicks (ages 3-4). All are at Bender Park, according to a news release from the Miles City Youth Soccer Association.

Coming to Miles City and representing British Soccer is Daniel Dyke, a 19-year-old with 10 years of playing experience. He will be one of two British coaches at the camp; the other is yet to be named.

Italo Resende, who has a degree in physical education, has coached and played at several venues in Brazil. The 25-year-old has signed on with the TetraBrazil Soccer Academy for the 2017 season and looks forward to working with American players.

Resende has considerable experience working with players ages 11-19.

The half-day sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon or 4-7 p.m. and the full-day includes both 3-hour sessions. The First Kicks is from 8-9 a.m. and is for aspiring players. All campers receive a soccer ball and T-shirt.

For more information visit or contact camp coordinator Keeli Muscha at 406-579-2575.

The camp is sponsored by the Miles City Youth Soccer Association, which requests early registration to assure the maximum number of coaches.
