Swigart, Anderson tops at Sidney

Nick Anderson shot an 86 and Ashtyn Swigart carded an 88 to lead their Custer County District High School squads in a golf invitation at the Sidney Country Club on Saturday. 

Sidney won the girls title  by 20 strokes over runnerup Fergus (Lewistown) 365-385. Custer County placed third our of five teams, 52 shots off the lead. Sidney’s Tierney Messmer was the medalist with a 76.

Billings Central claimed the boys championship by 12 shots 311-323 over Laurel. Custer County was fourth out of seven teams with a 367. Nick Pasquarelli and Liam Clancy of Billings Central tied for individual honors with 71s.

Other CCDHS girls scores were Chaney LaPlante, 103; Amber Taylor, 108; Allie Wagner, 118; and Anne Marie Hagemeister, 127.

Other CCDH boys scores were Derek Schneidt, 94; Joel Christopherson, 97; Garrett Jones, 90; and Ryan Gardner, 108.

Next on the golf schedule are the final two meets of the regular season — the Billings Central Invitational Friday and the Laurel Invitational on Saturday, both starting at 9 a.m.
