State Coal Board grant application deadline is Aug. 8

The Montana Coal Board will meet Friday, Sept. 22. Grant applications to be reviewed by the board at this meeting must be submitted no later than midnight on Tuesday, Aug. 8. 

To access the Montana Coal Board application materials, visit the website at http://comdev.mt.gov/Boards/Coal. Eight applications, one with an original signature, must be submitted to the department to be considered during the Sept. 22 board meeting, according to a news release from the Montana Coal Board. 

Applications can be submitted electronically to DOCCB@mt.gov, but must be received by midnight on Aug. 8. Or they can be mailed to the Department of Commerce, but must be postmarked no later than Aug. 8. Applications can be mailed to Montana Coal Board, Community Development Division, Department of Commerce, P.O. Box 200523, 301 S. Park Ave., Helena, MT 59620-0523. Applicants who wish to submit applications electronically other than by email should contact the main line at (406) 841-2770 to discuss options. 

The applications should not be stapled or bound in any way. A rubber band or binder clip is preferred. Also, each applicant must mail one signed original application and seven copies to the address above to be received within seven days of submittal of the electronic version.
