A former Garfield Elementary School cafeteria worker who served time for having sex with a minor may be returning to prison due to parole violations.

Jennifer Lynn Gillock, formerly of Miles City, will have her sentence reviewed in a disposition hearing in District Court on Thursday by Judge Michael B. Haworth. Haworth presided over her original sentencing.

Gillock was sentenced to 15 years in the Montana State Women’s Prison with 13 years suspended in 2015. She was released on probation on Jan. 5 of this year after serving about 14 months.

The charges stemmed from sheltering and having sex with a 15-year-old runaway boy. She entered a guilty plea to two counts of sexual intercourse without consent. The age of consent in Montana is 16.

According to court documents, on July 14 of this year authorities found Gillock living in Billings with an adult male, and also found alcohol on the premises. The man said they had been living together for two weeks.

Gillock’s terms of probation forbade her from associating “with individuals who abuse alcohol and illegal drugs,” according to court documents, She also failed to comply by failing to inform her parole and probation officer if she engaged in a sexual relationship or was living with a man.

After that incident, Gillock was terminated from the Sexual Offender Treatment Program and the South Central Treatment Association, both in Billings. Completing both programs was part of her probation agreement.

The parole and probation report by Gillock’s probation officer Sarah Reil noted Gillock’s “adjustment to supervision has been poor” and she has been “dishonest about her relationship and residence.”

The report recommends that Gillock would “benefit from a long-term, in-patient facility to ensure public safety” and because she “fails to understand the significance of having sexual relationships and fails to understand that having alcohol in her residence is a probation violation.”
