PBR: Volborg bullrider Lockwood wins again

Bull-riding sensation Jess Lockwood of Volborg maintained his lofty lead in the World Finals Standings by winning the Frontier Communications Sacramento Clash on Sunday. Lockwood went a perfect 4-for-4 on Sunday to win for the second time this season in just four events.

Lockwood, 19, won by .25 points over J.B. Mauney, a two-time world champion, to claim the top prize of $39,090. He has won $160,573 this season, his second in the nation’s premier bull-riding circuit.

Lockwood clinched in the championship round of the three-day event in Sacramento with a 90-point ride on BC Circular Insanity. He extended his lead in the world standings to  802.5 points over second-place Marco Antonio Eguchi.

Next up on the tour is the Frontier Communications Showdown in Anaheim, California this Friday and Saturday.
