Festival of Trees Friday — Grounds For Change (GFC) will have its annual Festival of Trees on Friday from 5-8 p.m. in Vintage and Rustics in Montana at 813 Main St. Admission to the festival is free, however donations will be accepted, according to a news release from GFC. Local businesses and groups sponsor each tree, which will be auctioned for tickets sold during this year’s Christmas Stroll, which also is Friday evening. Also being auctioned by tickets will be wreaths, baskets and centerpieces donated for the festival. Proceeds will help provide medical, vision and dental care, transportation assistance and other services to those in need in the Miles City area. Tenacious Dames sponsoring third annual pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus — Members of the Tenacious Dames, a local motorcycle riding club, will have their third annual pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Friday during the Christmas Stroll. Photos will be taken at the Main Street Grind, 713 Main St., from 5:30-8 p.m. Prices for the photos vary by size and range from $5 to $10, according to a news release from the group. The group also will be collecting items for the Empty Stockings program. Items being accepted include toys, clothing and hygiene products. 

Children’s Christmas Store on Saturday — The GFWC Miles City Woman’s Club will have their annual Children’s Christmas Store on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in the multipurpose rooms at Custer County District High School. The store is open to children ages 4-10, according to a news release from the club. The children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian, who will be allowed to wait for their young shoppers in another room while having refreshments. The store features new or gently used items for people and pets of all ages with nothing priced more than $5 and most selling for 25 cents to $1. Each young shopper should bring with him or her money to purchase items and a list, with his or her name printed at the top, followed by the names of the people for whom he or she is shopping.
