MC to host Leadership Montana gathering

Miles City will be in the state’s spotlight on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 21-22 as the city hosts the annual Leadership Montana Conference.

The organization, which endeavors to “develop leaders committed to building a better Montana through knowledge, collaboration, and civility.” announced the conference location this week.

The conference theme this year will be “Reinvention.” 

According to a Leadership Montana news release, the annual conference “attracts leaders from all corners of Montana who convene to discuss important issues affecting businesses, higher education, government, non-profit organizations, the health care industry and more.”

“We are very excited to showcase eastern Montana,” said Chantel Schieffer, president/CEO of Leadership Montana. “This annual gathering is a great opportunity for us learn about challenges and opportunities facing communities across the state.”

Local and statewide leaders will share examples of how eastern Montana is leading the state through agriculture, manufacturing, energy development and more, the news release noted.

Persons interested in leadership training or learning more about eastern Montana can take part.

Registration costs $125 and participants do not have to be a graduate of the Leadership Montana program to attend.
