Magdalene "Maxine" Sackman Guidice

Magdalene “Maxine” Sackman Guidice was born at home near Mildred on Dec. 18, 1927, and died Monday, June 27, 2016, in Rapid City, South Dakota, with her family at her side.  She was raised on the family farm near Fallon, the youngest of 14 children born to Jacob and Salomena Meier Sackman. She graduated from Terry High School and shortly after moved to Miles City and worked at the First National Bank. On March 19, 1949, she and Charles Guidice were married in Sheridan, Wyoming.

A devout Christian, she was a long-standing, active member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church, and Elizabeth Circle. She also enjoyed the outdoors, was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed bowling and was a fun loving person with a great sense of humor.

Her survivors include three sons: Dennis (Charla) of Rapid City, Donald (Karen) of Chugwater, Wyoming, and Douglas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Chuck; granddaughter Kelley; grandson-in-law, Doug Lefler; and all of her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2016, at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home from 1 to 5 p.m.  Funeral services will be Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Miles City. Interment will be at a later date in the Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Miles City.

Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church in Miles City, the Intermountain Children’s Home in Helena or the charity of their choices.
