Speech, drama team            competes in Laurel

The Custer County District High School Speech and Drama Team competed in Laurel last weekend. According to Heather Schmitz, team advisor, the competition was really tough.

Individual results include Thorn Moody and Parsa Ahmadpour placing 6th in Humorous Duo and Anthony Manfredo and Brooks Bosckis taking 8th place in Dramatic Duo.

“Overall, the whole team worked very hard and competed well,” said Schmitz.

Mystery Drawing winners named at Lincoln School

The Bobcat Club at Lincoln Elementary School is a program designed to promote positive behaviors/choices within the structure of the school day. This is a variable feedback system, randomly catching students making positive choices and or differences among their peers., according to a news release from the school. 

All students have a chance to receive recognition, however only a few get to draw a Mystery Prize. These prizes are generous donations from area vendors as well as opportunities within the school. A special thank you goes to the following businesses Miles City Dairy Queen, Buy Mt.com, Recreation Lanes, Seabeck Pizza, Miles City Rollercade and Taco John’s. 

The Mystery Drawing winners from the various grades at the school are Kolter Hoff, Jackson Matthews, McKinley Meidinger and Mazzie Yoakam, 3rd grade; Ella Gray, Kameron Lockie and Zack Phipps, 5th grade; and Caiden Gray, Yanzie Looman and Jaylie Stratton, 6th grade.
