Homecoming activities start Monday in Miles City

Homecoming Spirit Week begins Monday at Custer County District High School (CCDHS) and runs through Friday, Sept. 17. Dress up days for all schools in Miles City School District 1 will have the following themes:

— Monday: “Tie Dye”

— Tuesday: “Sports Team/Attire”

— Wednesday: “Frat” (college favorite for middle and grade school)

— Thursday: “Luau”

— Friday, Sept. 17: “Blue and Gold.”

In addition to dressing up during the week, CCDHS students will participate in a pep assembly in the school’s gym on Tuesday at 9:50 a.m. On Thursday, varsity athletes will be “parading” the grade and middle schools from 7:45 to 8:25 a.m. Also on Thursday, the CCDHS volleyball teams will play the teams from Dawson County High School in Glendive in the CCDHS gymnasium and homecoming royalty candidates will be recognized between the junior varsity and varsity matches.

Sept. 17 is Homecoming in Miles City. The CCDHS Cowboys football team will play the DCHS Red Devils at 7 p.m. in Connors Stadium at the Denton Sports Complex. Homecoming royalty will be announced during the game’s half time. Candidates for Homecoming queen are Bryn Coffin, Mackenzie Lepisto, Natalie Nothbom, Bailey Nowicki and Lainey Smith. Homecoming king candidates are Riley Cline, Alex Donnelly, Charlie Lang, Logan Muri and Jackson Whicker.
