Eight injured in rollover crash Saturday south of Miles City

Eight people were taken to Holy Rosary Healthcare (HRH) on Saturday following a crash 25 miles south of Miles City on Highway 59.

According to a press release from Miles City Fire and Rescue, the SUV rolled down a 50-to-60-foot embankment around 7 p.m.

One of the patients was trapped in the SUV, the press release noted.

According to Carol Enderle, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Holy Rosary, the hospital’s trauma team was alerted the moment the call came in.

Enderkie said that in her two years with HRH, this is one of the highest patient counts that she’s seen.

Currently, the extent of injuries and the cause of the accident are unknown.

The responding agencies were Miles City Fire Rescue, Custer County Rural Volunteer Fire Department, Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks,  and the Montana Highway Patrol.
