Darla (Reece Lilienthal) Gregory, 85, died July 2, 2022, in Pasco, Washington.

Darla was born September 1937, in Miles City, Montana to Norma Reece Schoonover and Clarence Schoonover. Her mother died when Darla was just 8 years old and she was consequently adopted by her grandparents, James R. and Gertrude A. Reece who lovingly raised her along with their other daughter, Marion.

After Darla graduated from Custer County High School, she married Raymond Albert Lilienthal in October, 1955 and they had two children together.

Darla worked at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City at the switchboard and later in 1974, graduated from Miles Community College with a degree in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She moved to Billings in 1976 working as a Registered Nurse for Deaconess Hospital. She then married Benjamin Gregory in June, 1977.

Darla eventually moved to Washington State to be near her family. Upon retiring from her nursing career at the age of 63, she moved to Surprise, AZ where she enjoyed lady putters, mahjong, her community and travel groups.

Darla loved the Lord and was a member of the Assembly of God churches in both Miles City and Billings. She had faithful, lifelong friends from high school and was an outgoing personality who made friends everywhere she lived. Her bucket list of places to see was full and she traveled all over Washington, Arizona and many other states, enjoying main sites and attractions.

Darla is survived by her two children, Terry Lilienthal Long and Lori Lilienthal-Crow, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Chaplaincy Hospice in Kennewick, Washington.
