Cowgirls 2nd at Glendive invite

Nick Anderson and Ashtyn Swigart posted rounds of 85 and 90 respectively to lead their Custer County District golf teams in Friday’s invite at Glendive’s Cottonwood Country Club.

Laurel’s boys, led by a 72 from Paul O’Neil, had the top team score of 326, followed by Billings Central at 332, Custer County at 358, and Hardin at 407.

Other CCDHS scores were Derek Schneidt, 86; Joel Christopherson, 89; Ryan Gardner, 98; Garrett Jones, 100, and Haden Warren, 106. 

In the girls division, Sidney won with a 376 total led by medalist Tierney Messmer with an 83. Custer County placed second with a 428, followed by Laurel(450) and Hardin (520).

Other CCDHS girls scores were Amber Taylor, 106;  Anne Marie Hagemeister, 129; Chaney LaPlante, 113; and Mackenzie Taylor and Allie Wagner, both 119.

Next on the golf schedule are the final two meets of the regular season — the Billings Central Invitational on Friday and the Laurel Invitational on Saturday, both starting at 9 a.m.
