Dance at Drop-In Center on Sunday — The Southeastern Montana Fiddlers will play for a dance Sunday at the Drop-in Center from 2-5 p.m. The dance is open to the public. Those attending should bring a snack or treat to share.

Anniversary open house at winery Sunday — Tongue River Winery will have its 7th Anniversary Open House on Sunday from 3---6 p.m. at 137 Morning Star Ln. At 4 p.m., there will be apple shredding and pressing with free cider tasting. Award-winning wines will be available to sample. There will be free souvenir wine glasses with purchased glasses of wine and birthday cake and fresh grapes will be served.

Art Auction on Saturday — The 42nd annual Art Auction at the WaterWorks Art Museum, 85 Waterplant Rd., will be Saturday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the Bison Bar holding a no-host social, also starting at 5:30 p.m. The live auction starts at 7 p.m. and the silent auction ends 15 minutes after the live auction finishes. Cost for admission is $20 per person to cover the cost of the food. The art auction calendar can be viewed at Absentee bidding forms are available. Cowboy poetry, music and art show Sunday in Alzada — The 28th Annual Alzada Cowboy Poetry, Music and Art Show will be Sunday at the Alzada Community Hall in Alzada. The theme is “Remembering the Old West.” The Alzada Community Hall opens at 10 a.m. for viewing of artwork. The free program of poetry and music starts at 1 p.m. and usually continues until around 5 p.m. The Alzada Club members, along with help from many community residents, will serve lunch all day with the proceeds used for yearly expenses and maintenance on the hall. Shows at MonDak Heritage Center — The 36th Annual Quilt & Needlework Show runs through Saturday at the MonDak Heritage Center in Sidney. The top three People’s Choice vote getters will receive receive awards. The Williston Area Visual Artists (WAVA) show runs from Tuesday-Saturday, Nov. 4. This show features artworks in different mediums from artists in and around Williston, North Dakota. SERVSAFE workshop planned — The Custer County Extension Office will offer an 8-hour SERVSAFE workshop Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Miles City Sleep Inn. SERVSAFE is a nationally acclaimed program sponsored by the National Restaurant Association. The training covers food-borne illness and its prevention, safe food handling and more, according to a news release from the Custer County Extension Office.
