Commissioners to declare supervisor candidates elected

The Custer County Commissioners will meet during their regular hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week in the Custer County Courthouse in Miles City.

On Tuesday at 9 a.m., the commissioners will declare the conservation district supervisor candidates elected by acclamation.

The commissioners’ regular meetings usually take place in their courthouse office starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, according to a news release from the commissioners’ office.

Each session begins with administrative duties, which are the approval of minutes from previous meeting(s), approval of monthly reports, board/committee reports, and approval and signing of claims.

Also on Tuesday, the commissioners will have Event Center plans discussion and action at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., they will vacate the Jensen family member transfer with Bill Ellis.

Wednesday the commissioners will have Bucking Horse Sale contract discussion and action at 9 a.m.

On Thursday, the commissioners will participate in the Pine Hills Mitigation Task Force Group meeting at the Bureau of Land Management at 9 a.m. Commissioner Keith Holmlund will be excused at 10 a.m. to participate in the Eastern Montana Mental Health conference call. At 11 a.m., the commissioners will have discussion and action to determine employee health benefit plans. Commissioner Holmlund will be excused at 1 p.m. to participate in the weed/mosquito temporary employee interviews.
