The Miles Community College mens basketball team has landed a new recruit from Texas, Head Coach Chase Tait announced last week.

Daquazemarr Wyche, a 5’-9’’ guard from Thurgood Marshall High School in Missouri City, Texas has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Pioneers in 2017-18.

Wyche, who averaged 13 ppg as a senior, will suit up this fall for MCC Head Coach Chase Tait’s team.

According to an MCC news release, Wyche added six assists, five rebounds and two steals per game to the stat sheet as a senior on a team that finished second in the state this season. Wyche also played football, and on club basketball teams.

“I believe MCC will give the best opportunity,” Wyche said. “This is a place where I can grow as a student and basketball player. “

Wyche, the son of Denise Wyche, will major in nursing at MCC.
