Co. commissioners will elect presiding officer on Tuesday

The Custer County Commissioners will meet during their regular hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week. Among the commissioners’ business on Tuesday at 9 a.m. is electing a presiding officer of the Board of County Commissioners. 

The Custer County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, New Year’s Day. 

The commissioners’ regular meetings take place in the commissioners’ courthouse office starting at 8:30 a.m. and usually adjourning at 3 p.m., according to a news release from the commissioners’ office. 

Each session begins with administrative duties, which are the approval of minutes from previous meeting(s), approval of monthly reports, board/committee reports and approval and signing of claims.

Also on Tuesday, during the commissioners’ administrative duties, they will adopt Resolution 2018-16, establishing the regular meeting dates and hours of the Board of County Commissioners and the hours of county offices. The commissioners also will adopt Resolution 2018-17, establishing travel reimbursement rates for 2018.

At 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, the commissioners will have a Miles City Area Economic Development Council update from Tracey Baker.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the commissioners will have their usual business.
Outside of regular commissioners’ hours on Thursday, Commissioner Keith Holmlund will attend the MCAEDC meeting at 7 a.m. in rooms 2 and 3 at Holy Rosary Healthcare.
