Sealed bids will be accepted by the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Ag & Grazing Management Bureau, through March 26, 2018, for 10-year agricultural & grazing leases on the following described lands in Rosebud County: All or portions of T11N R43E Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, all or portions of T12N R 43E Sections 25, 26,  31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, all or portions of T11N R44E Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, and all or portions of T12N R44E Sections 29, 30, 31, 32, : containing 14,038 acres of dryland crop and 640 acres of grazing land. The acreage is separated into 9 individual Management Units to bid separately on in any combination.
The minimum bid rate for the 14,038 acres of dryland farming is $20.00/acre and the minimum bid rate for the 640 acre (160 AUM) grazing parcel is $11.03/AUM.
By law, all bids to be considered valid must include a deposit in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or money order in the amount equal to 100% of the amount bid for grazing, and $20.00 per acre for the Agricultural land, plus a non-refundable lease application fee of $25.00.  In order to be considered, all bids must be accompanied with a completed application to lease state lands.
