Flood Control agenda — The City of Miles City’s Flood Control meeting will be Wednesday (July 19) at 5:15 p.m. in the Miles City Hall Conference Room. On the agenda are request of citizens/public comment; committee member comments; unfinished business; new business of A. Recommendation to council to approve the KLJ Task Order for WIK service relating to Section 205 study (program management and miscellaneous engineering services; government relations & public outreach/involvement; interior drainage; and structure inventory), B. Recommend to council to approve changes to Section 12 Floodplain Regulations and C. Recommend to council to increase Flood Control fees.

Summer Matinee Series showing of “Rock Dog” — The Summer Matinee Series at the Montana Theatre, 905 Main St., will present “Rock Dog” on Wednesday. There will be two showings of the film, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tickets are available before each showing. In “Rock Dog,” when a radio falls from the sky into the hands of a Tibetan Mastiff, he leaves home to fulfill his dream of becoming a musician, setting into motion a series of completely unexpected events.

Dutch Oven Cook-Off on Sunday — The 4th annual Dutch Oven Cook-Off will be Sunday at the Range Riders Museum. A cooking class and demonstrations will be from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by the competition from noon to 4 p.m. and judging starting at 4 p.m. After the judging, public tasting is available for $10 a plate. Competition entrants should bring their own equipment. Charcoal will be provided. There will be three divisions in the competition, Main Dish, Side Dish and Dessert.
