For anyone wanting to know how many people across Montana and in your town are responding to the Census visit public.tableau. com to view the live 2020 response rate map.

Use the map to track your community’s progress and encourage family, friends, and everyone in-between to fill out their 2020 Census questionnaire online, by phone, or by mail.

Highlights of the map include:

— Daily updates to selfresponse rates for households that have self-responded to the 2020 Census online, by phone or by mail beginning mid-March.

— The ability to search for response rates for states, counties, cities and census tracts.

— Current 2020 total selfresponse rates and internet response rates in comparison to final 2010 Census response rates and previous day-by-day 2020 response rates.

— An embeddable widget that will allow Response Rate Challenge participants to include the map on their own websites.

— 2020 Census response rate data available in the public application programming interface (API).

— Background information and instructions for how to use the map and the data presented.

The response rate is impacted by the delivery method of the Census information used in an area, according to a news release from the Montana 2020 Census Newsletter. For example if you receive an invitation in the mail versus a packet dropped at the door. Visit 2020census.gov to learn about the difference.

The 2020 Census is now live and available to fill out online at my2020census.gov, or you can call in your response by phone at 1-844-330-2020.

Filling out the Census is quick, easy, and safe. It will take less than 10 minutes to complete and your information and privacy are protected by federal law.
