The baseball season for the Miles City Outlaws 18-U team got under way in fine fashion over the weekend.
The Outlaws went 3-1 in their four-game series Saturday and Sunday at Lovell, Wyoming.
They won the first three games — 9-4 and 14-2 on Saturday and 8-3 in Sunday's opener of the second doubleheader before falling 18-8 in the second game.
The 2018 edition of the Outlaws won Saturday's opener when they snapped a 4-all tie with a five-run seventh inning. Miles City never trailed in the season opener, leading 3-0 after one inning.
