State officials kick off Strengthening Families Month activities in Helena

Lt. Governor Kristen Juras, Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) Director Adam Meier, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana (BCBSMT) Vice President of External Affairs John Doran were joined by various organization representatives on Tuesday for a Pinwheels for Prevention event at the state capitol building in Helena.

Sacred Heart Parish School students listed on honor roll for 3rd quarter

A total of 85 students at Sacred Heart Parish School were named to the 3rd quarter honor roll for the 2020-2021 school year. Of those students, 21 received grade point averages of 4.0 (straight A), for the quarter. They are 8th graders Ella Hogan and Greta Tooke; 7th graders Juliana Muggli and Emily Wu; 6th grader Ava Flotkoetter; 5th graders Maeve Bryan and Delilah Strong; 4th graders Rori Donnelly and Jacob Hogan; 3rd graders Roddy Friend, Christian Hogan and Kyler Wambolt; 2nd graders Moriah Anderson, Sydni McPherson and Eden Sparks; and 1st graders Evelyn Altenhofen, Ali Christopherson, Sadie Green, Ardessa Rens, Baron Strong and Hadlie Taylor.

Helen Sampsel was born on April 27, 1930 to William and Elsie Harris in Ridgway, PA. Helen passed away on March 6, 2021 in Columbia Falls, MT. Helen was the youngest of six children and, at the time of her death, was the last surviving member of her generation of her family.

Legislature Advancing Key Infrastructure and Conservation Projects

In recent weeks the Montana Legislature has advanced bills to support critical infrastructure and conservation projects across the state. Starting with House Bill 632, Republicans committed to investing the latest round of federal COVID relief dollars in infrastructure, telecommunications, and economic stabilization which will support our economy for future generations. While it was fiscally irresponsible for Congress to pile up more national debt, we invested the funds wisely.
