Ella M. “Tudi” Jones, 90, of Miles City, died Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Friendship Villa Care Center in Miles City.
She was born April 28, 1924, near Cohagen to Charlie and Katie Sindelar. She attended grade school at Cohagen and high school at both Cohagen and Miles City. She also attended June’s Beauty College in Miles City before moving to Mesa, Ariz., where she worked many years as a beauty operator.
She and Philip Jones were married in 1961. They later moved to Chula Vista, Calif., where she worked as a bookkeeper for a school supply company. She also volunteered at the George Waters Senior Nutrition Center and was chosen volunteer of the year before returning to Montana following Mr. Jones’ death in 2010.
Her survivors include her daughter, Sheri (Ray) Clauson of Miles City; granddaughter, Tami (Don) Rogers of Denver, Colo.; grandsons, Kelly Clauson of Denver, Colo., and Troy (Julie) Clauson of Hilton Head, S.C.; great-grandsons, Joshua, Jacob and Jordan; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Philip; her son, Charles Mackin; her brother, George Sindelar; and sisters, Helen Jenrich, Mildred Fiske, Viola Fluss and Cathryn Zook.
A Memorial Service will be Friday, May 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will be at a later date in the Custer County Cemetery.
