The Custer County District High School Cowboy basketball team suffered their third straight defeat, falling to Dickinson, N.D., on the road last night, 69-56.
After playing back-and-forth through the first half, Dickinson took a 31-26 lead into the halftime break.
In the second half, the Cowboys never got closer than four points as Dickinson (2-8) rolled to their second straight win.
The Cowboys could not overcome 25 turnovers in the ball game and were a tough 9-22 from the free throw line.
Brac Warren and Brett Keith each cracked double digits to lead the Cowboys. Warren finished with a double-double, 17 points and 10 rebounds. Keith tossed in 11 points.
With the loss, the Cowboys dropped to 3-9 on the season. They will be at home on Friday night against Class AA Billings Senior in a non-conference game that starts at 7:30 p.m.
