The board of the Miles City Salvation Army Service Unit would like to thank the Miles City community for its wonderful support of our bell ringers this holiday season. We have much to be grateful for in a community that will share its treasure with those who may be unknown to them, but who have need of their help.
Our thanks goes out to all who donated to the “Red Kettles,” and to Walmart and Ace Hardware and their employees for hosting our bell ringers so kindly, especially in the frigid weather. Finally, we wish to publicly acknowledge those who volunteered to ring the bell. The whole program would have been nothing without you.
Our sincere gratitude to the following community groups and individuals: the Boy Scouts, Custer County Public Health Department, the Community Health Clinic, the Knights of Columbus, the FFA, Miles City Caledonians, RSVP, Cindy and Tom Erickson, Sue and Derek Galbraith, Iris Spence, Shelly Freese, Kim Blunt, Vicki Hamilton, Tanis Eckart, Mary Hegel and Gary and Vickie Taylor and family.
It is this spirit of charity that is the greatest blessing of the Christmas season.
On our part, the board commits to using these funds wisely to address the emergency needs of both residents and transients in our community. On behalf of all those who will come to be served in the coming year, our heartfelt thanks.
