It’s the time of year to give thanks, and it’s been over a year since the Ash Creek Fire of 2012 - the largest in the state’s history.
Our sincere thanks for all the overwhelming support during and after the fire. Mother Nature blessed us this year with plentiful moisture, and hopefully we’re all getting our feet back under us!
Lots of thank yous were sent! However, one long-overdue thank you goes out to Debbie Weyer, formerly of Wibaux, who spearheaded the “Ash Creek Fire Rancher Relief Fund,” Stan Markuson, Stockman Bank and all the generous anonymous donors.
Very few people heard about it, but Debbie had close roots to our area, came up with the idea to Stan Markuson of Stockman Bank, as the holding company; and we’ll never know who the silent angels are who donated to the $35,000 fund sent our way last Christmas!
It just goes to show what a great community we live in, and now Ty and Rosalie Linger have another fund going! Wow, it’s so commendable that generous people take on these kind of projects for the aid of others.
We’ll always be forever grateful and God’s blessings to all.
