The
Star news staff of seven works to cover every facet of
city, Custer County and state news - whether it be community
happenings, schools, government, sports, agriculture,
environment, business, churches or features about local
people and events. Since the Star is a member of the Associated
Press, it also prints state, national and world news.
Likewise, the AP picks up Star stories of statewide interest
and distributes them on its media network. In addition
to local news, the Star news staff produces a number of
special sections throughout the year featuring local sports,
schools, hunting, car care, weddings, home improvement,
Christmas and the annual visitor's guide. Also, a weekly
TV schedule is included in every Thursday Star.
The Star is a broadsheet newspaper printed to SAU specifications.
We use InDesign for all pagination and print to a PantherPlus
imagesetter with full-color capability.

Dan Killoy, Publisher
Killoy has been publisher of The Miles City Star
since June of 2000. He is a lifelong Montana resident
who started his newspaper career in Butte at the
Montana Standard in 1964. He was publisher of the
Standard from 1990-95. |

Marla Prell, Managing
Editor
Prell has been with The Miles City Star since 1993.
Before taking on the responsibilities of managing
editor in 1996, she worked as news editor of The
Star for three years. She grew up in the Bozeman-Belgrade
area, graduating from Montana State University. |
