Muriel Patterson

Muriel Patterson, 96, of Rosebud died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at the Rosebud County Health

Center in Forsyth.

Mrs. Patterson was born Nov. 12, 1917, in Conrad to Albert and Annie Blatchford Jury. She was raised and attended schools in Conrad, graduating from Conrad High School in 1935.

She worked for Conrad Real Estate until her marriage to Harold W. Patterson on Feb. 4, 1939, in Great Falls. After their marriage they lived in Belt for a short time before returning to Conrad where she worked for Dr. Porter S. Cannon for many years. They raised their children in Conrad and in 1968 they moved to Lakeside where they lived for 40 years.

In 2009 she and her husband moved to Rosebud to live with her daughter.

Mrs. Patterson loved to garden. Her yard and garden were testaments to the talent God had given her. She and her husband camped, snowmobiled and fished every weekend for years.  She was terrified of water, but that didn’t stop her from getting in the boat and fishing. She and her husband were made for each other. Their lives meshed perfectly.

On Feb. 4, 2014, Mr. and Mrs. Patterson celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary with a party at the home of their daughter. That and seeing the Nutcracker Ballet were the highlights of Mrs. Patterson’s last year of life.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad where she taught Sunday School. Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and a Girl Scout leader.

Mrs. Patterson is survived by Harold, her husband of 75 years; son, Jerry Patterson of Kalispell; daughter, Nancy Pasha of Rosebud; five grandchildren, Amy (Brad) Adler of Forsyth, Tara (Delbert) Moore of Rosebud, Larry (Carolyn) Pasha of Anaconda and Cindy Patterson and Jon Patterson, both of Casper, Wyo.; and nine great-grandchildren, Boe, Wyatt, Barrett and Shay Adler, Paige and Cotton Moore, Richard and Kellee Pasha, and JadaLynn Patterson.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley Richard Jury and Edward Albert Jury; and her son, baby boy Patterson.
