Military packages to be sent soon

Kinsey 4-H for the Military is getting ready to send packages to deployed troops during the first week of November.

Anyone who would like to have a package sent to a soldier should email that soldier's name, branch of the military, current rank and deployment address if

he or she is deployed to: .

Carolyn's Embroidery, 906 Main St. in Miles City, is a drop-off location for donations to be mailed in packages. Soldiers like good books and magazines as well as jerky, candy, and personal letters. Anyone who would like to help with shipping boxes or purchasing items may drop monetary donations off there, too,

or mail a check to Kinsey 4-H for the Military, 622 Lower Road, Kinsey,

MT 59338. The group has tax-exempt status if that is important to a donor.

People who have soldiers' names to pass along to the group and who haven’t done so yet should do so soon. The group makes the ribbons for local soldiers that are displayed around Miles City and send care packages to deployed

troops in faraway places. The group can't show its support if the members don't have the information.

Also, let the group know if your soldier has changed ranks or been deployed. Information may be updated by emailing or calling Lori, Laina or Joel Raisler at 234-7579.
