Louetta Marie Pinkerton Blanchard
Louetta Marie Pinkerton Blanchard, 90, of Miles City, formerly of Livingston, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at the Friendship Villa Healthcare in Miles City.
Mrs. Blanchard was born on Sept. 1, 1923, in Gallatin Valley, the daughter of Charley and Hattie Pinkerton. She attended grade school and graduated from high school in White Hall. She grew up in the Gallatin Valley, working various jobs over the years.
One of the most memorable was working at Woolworth’s in Bozeman, where she met her husband, Frank Warren Blanchard. She and Warren were married in 1946. After marriage, she was a homemaker, as well as helping her husband with a sawmill business in the Gallatin Valley.
In 1968, they moved to Livingston. Shortly after her husband died in 1993 of a heart attack, she moved to Miles City where she spent the last 10 years of her life between the Eagles Manor and The Friendship Villa.
Mrs. Blanchard enjoyed her family, helping out in her church, lake fishing, playing games with friends and loved to travel. Even to her last days, Mrs. Blanchard always had a jig in her heel and the joy of the Lord in her heart with laughter and a “thank you, Honey.”
Her survivors include her four children: Robert “Bob” (Donna) Blanchard of Colstrip, Charlene (Harry) Dermer of Palmer, Alaska, Max (Sandy) Blanchard of Hathaway and Karen Arias of Vernal, Utah; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters: Myrtle Parsons, Ella Robertson and Norma McKelvey; and a son-in-law: Pastor Stanley Arias.
Funeral Services will be Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Livingston Christian Center in Livingston. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Gideon’s International, 2118 Valley Drive East, Miles City, MT 59301.
