Cecelia Margaret Kuntz


Cecelia Margaret Kuntz, 88, of Miles City died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City.

She was born in Mott, North Dakota, to Mike and Mary Frize on March 22, 1926. She met the love of her life, Celestes “Sal” Kuntz, and they were married April 24, 1946. To this union two daughters were born, Elnora Ottenbacher of Miles City and Linda Palmer of Reno, Nevada.

Mrs. Kuntz spent many years working as a maid at the Gingham Lady Motel. She was an avid fisherman with her husband; she loved her Atlanta Braves baseball team whenever they played and when her eyesight failed she listened to them on television.

Her niece, Linda Schrock, was a devoted caregiver to both Mr. and Mrs. Kuntz. Schrock and her family played a special part in Mrs. Kuntz’s life and they did much for her. Dawn Kellmer also was a caregiver for Mrs. Kuntz. 

Mrs. Kuntz is survived by her two daughters: Elnora (Jack) Ottenbacher and Linda (Burch) Palmer; two sisters: Elnora Stoltz and Donna; three brothers: Dale, Al and Joe; three grandchildren: Jon (Christy) Ottenbacher of Billings, Tami Myhre of Miles City and Ray Palmer of Reno; six great-grandchildren: Alec, Mariah, Taylor and Kylee Myhre of Miles City, and Karissa and Tobias Ottenbacher of Billings; and one great-great-grandson, Ayden Myhre of Miles City.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Celestes; her parents: Mike and Mary Frize; sisters: Caroline Hodgson, Julia Stoltz, Delores Kuchynka, Maggie DiBeneditto and Loretta DeGlopper; a brother: Carl Frize; and a son: Richard.

A Rosary will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 7 p.m. in Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
