Allene Willson Pierce
Allene Willson Pierce was born July 5, 1930 to Fred and Violet Willson at Noonan, North Dakota and she passed away on March 16, 2014 at Gig Harbor, WA.
She grew up in Williston, North Dakota; Choteau, Havre and Bozeman, MT. She graduated from Bozeman High School and was an International Exchange Student to England for several months.
She attended Montana State University and received a B.S. Degree in Home Ec. in 1952.
In March 1953 she was employed as a County Extension Agent in Miles City, Montana. In May of 1961 she became Flathead County Agent (Home Ec) at Kalispell, Montana.
She married Wallace Pierce and in 1968 she and Wallace became Real Estate Agents at Bigfork, Montana.
In 1970 she returned to Extension as an Area Agent. She served as Lake County Extension Agent from 1976-1986. She retired from Montana State University Extension Service in 1986.
When her husband died she moved to Ridgecrest, CA to be near her sister Barbara and her family. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing in bridge tournaments.
In 2013 she moved to a retirement facility at Gig Harbor, WA where she was close to her sister, Linda House and her family.
Allene became ill there and died of cancer on March 16, 2014. Her ashes will be buried in Bigfork, Montana alongside those of her husband.
