RESIDENCE HALL Custodians Miles Community College is currently accepting applications for up to 6 temporary full time Residence Hall Custodian positions. Qualifications include high school diploma or appropriate work experience. Approximate begin date May 11, 2015 for approximately 5 weeks.
THE MILES City Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of probationary police officer. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and have no felony convictions. The Miles City Police Department is a member of the Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium. Interested applicants must register with the consortium in order to be placed on the eligibility list. Applicants must pass the written and physical tests at the consortium testing site. Those interested must register with the consortium before the next testing period in June. The deadline to register is May 16, 2015. Applicants must be able to pass an oral interview, psychological exam, criminal history and background investigation. The starting base wage for a probationary patrolman is $18.70 per hour. After a one year probationary period, a confirmed officer will earn $20.39 base wage. In addition to the base wage there is a shift differential pay of .50 cents per hour for afternoon shift and .75 cents per hour for night shift. The City of Miles city offers overtime, comp time, medical insurance and other benefits (vision, dental, supplemental retirement options). Officers are under the 20 year retirement plan through MPORS. All duty gear and body armor is supplied by the city. Officers work rotation four 10 hour shifts followed by 3three days off. There is extra pay for working on holidays, court time and call out. DIRECTOR OF CAREER AND UNIVERSITY PATHWAYS. Miles Community College is seeking a dynamic, goal-oriented, self-driven Director of Career and University Pathways. This position is responsible for establishing and directing a comprehensive career and transfer advising program for the College, from entry to graduation, as well as progression to successful career and placement and/or university transfer. This position will assist in planning and providing career counseling to incoming and continuing students and their parents, to include presentations at Student Orientation, Advising, Registration (SOAR) sessions, First Year Pioneer first year experience courses, and other events scheduled throughout the year tailored for students in specific majors,career pathways and/or transfer pathways. This position is a full-time 9 month contract (September through May) with minimal summer hours (June through August) equal to a 10 month contract. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required in Education, Business, Communications, Counseling, or related field. Master’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, Counseling, Public Administration or related field preferred. Two years of relevant experience in career services setting, workforce development or employer/organization recruiting, or academic and transfer advising in a higher education setting. Experience with Banner information system preferred. The Director must possess effective oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate well with a wide range of student populations as well as computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office products.
